A Guide to the ITPs (PDF)

The following interactive teaching tools produced by the National Numeracy Strategy for use within the DML.
Though contained on the discs which are accompanying the unit plans, we feel their use extends far wider than within a particular year group or term.
They can be run from The Lighthouse just by clicking on the link or you can download them onto your computer by right clicking (control click on a mac) and selecting 'Save Target As...' - you will then be given the option to save it onto your computer.

  1. Counter - Counting machine

  4. Play Train - click the mouse on the appropriate number. This number appears on the carriage door and passengers appear in the carriage windows.

  5. Take part - show shapes being divided into halves, thirds or quarters.

  6. Toy Shop - a game for two players (or groups of players). Players take turns to select a coin to pay towards the cost of the displayed toy. The winner is the player who lays down the coin to make up the exact cost of the toy.
